Sense in confusion is an original painting from my Fragments of Light collection.
This collection is special because it is made from a single (very large painting) called View from a Pandemic. I created this painting in the summer of 2020 as a response to the range of emotions and feelings I have gone through during the Global Covid-19 pandemic. I was not happy with the result, it was such a mix of colours and forms that it was overwhelming… a pretty accurate representation of the pandemic but nothing I wanted to share with anyone else.
I stored the painting and didn’t look at it again until November 2020, by which time I had been able to appreciate some of the changes brought by the pandemic. As I looked at it, I found many areas of beauty which I hadn’t appreciated when I tried to take in the whole picture. So I decided to cut it up. The result is this collection.
I hope that these paintings will serve to help their new owners to see the Fragments of Light and beauty in a, sometimes overwhelming, panorama.
